The Society was formed in March 1976 to research and document the history of the parish and its people. Monthly meetings were held and a series of Transactions were published between the years 1977 to 2003
Today, informal monthly meetings are held, usually on the last Thursday of the month at 7pm in The Old Chapel, Alveley. New visitors and members are always welcome to attend and potentially contribute to aspects of local history or family research. Contact us for further information or with any queries.
Next Meeting: There will be no further meetings of AHS until the present Covid-19 Emergency restrictions have been relaxed. Please watch this space for further updates!
On this website you will find archive material on many areas of local history, including society transactions and publications, registers, church and chapel history, deeds and wills and much more, covering many topics. Take a look at our Events tab to find out about our immediate next event, or our future events page to see more long term plans. View the past events page to find out about events just gone.
